At last we have some books devoted Information to Technology (IT) problems written in Latvian. Books about Windows Excel, Access, Internet and so on. But two magazines  play an outstanding role in IT popularisation in Latvian professionals: “Datorpasaule”(Latvian) and “Baltic IT Review”(English).

“Datorpasaule” include articles with wide area of topics in Information Technologies. The magazine gives readers practical knowledge in real information World and also opens to readers view on modern achievements and problems in this World.

Baltic IT Review is the official publication of the Information Technology Commitee of the Baltic Council of Ministers. It is published quarterly in English by the Estonian Informatics Center, the Department of Informatics of Transport Ministry in Latvia, and the Department of Information and Informatics of Public Administration Reforms and Local Authorities Ministry o Republic in Lithuania.

Baltic IT Review contains articles about IT and telecommunications policies in the Baltic States, as well as the people and institutions which determine and govern these policies. There are also materials about standards, legislation, telecommunications tariffs, tenders, education, manufacturing, etc. The goal of the magazine is to reflect the condition of the IT and telecommunications sphere in the Baltic States, and to promote cooperation among Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania in terms of information and experience exchange.
