Die new D3 Group GmbH in Bonn (founded 1997) is a consulting company specialised on high-tech congresses, seminars and projects. The decision to launch D3 was made in order to actively participate in the new development in the Bonn region the transfer from the mainly administrative centre to a new high-tech centre of innovative technologies.
The D3 Group works closely with the European Commission, the Federal Ministry of Economics and the City of Bonn. It has brought the first annual conference of the G7 initiative "A global marketplace for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs)" to Bonn. The conference will be held on April 7th-9th 1997. The conference aims to raise the interest of SMEs in the fast growing market on electronic commerce. The unique experience that D3 group partners bring in the D3 Group allows them to effectively assist organisations and companies in facing this challenge.
Partners in D3 Group GmbH are Werner B. Korte, Andreas R. Pieniazek, Harald A. Summa and Sandra Herms.
Werner B. Korte (together with Simon Robinson) is Managing Director of empirica GmbH in Bonn. The consulting firm is active in major areas of the information society for more than 10 years. empirica acts as an interface between vendors and users of electronic systems and services as well as political decision-makers. Projects range from teleworking to telematics for elderly and handicapped people up to business process design.
Andreas R. Pieniazek runs his own consulting business PST in Bonn. For the past 7 years he has worked as an independent consultant advising large organisations and corporations. He has participated in a number of large international projects in the various areas of information technology, systems engineering, space engineering and general management. His clients and partners include large organisations like DLR , DASA and ESA as well as a large number of small and large private enterprises in Germany and Europe.
Harald A. Summa runs the SUMMA Unternehmensberatung, which is focused on new media. He is a well-known author and publisher on the subject business on the Internet. Harald has been in various management positions in the industry for many years before he opened his own business.
Sandra Herms is the youngest member of the D3 Group. She has a Degree in Int. Business Administration and strong international background (London, Paris, Malaga). Sandra is responsible for logistics, administration, coordination and subcontracting/outsourcing at D3 Group.
