Experts Required To Support IST Programme

Note: Please note that there is at present (6 Feb 99) no
facility for sending an application for this work
electronically! See additional comments below with the
links to the forms. We apologise to site
users who were misled (as we were!) when we quoted the
Commission's statement that they preferred that forms be
completed electronically.
The European Commission has issued a call for
applications for inclusion on lists of experts for the
evaluation of proposals received in connection with the
specific research programmes to be implemented under the
Fifth Framework Programme.
The IST (Information Society Technologies) part of FP5
includes a strong focus on New Methods of Work. The form
is long and complex, but don't be shy, read the text and
if you feel you can contribute, have a go!

Important note: the Commission said
that it prefers electronic submissions. This is very
misleading since there is at present no
facility for sending the form electronically!
What they appear to mean is that we should download the
acrobat form, complete it locally on screen, then print
it locally, sign it, and send it by post!

The call is open but the deadline for the first round of activities is 1st February 1999. Submissions should continue to be sent after 1 Feb 99 since all applicants will be on file for the whole of the programme.
