European Telework Week 1997 |
European Telework Week (ETW) is the focal point of many activities that go on throughout the year promoting the understanding of Telework and its considered implementation.
The objective of the Information Day will be to present the European and National perspectives, with contributions from several Directorates-General of the European Commission. The target audience includes Commission Staff involved in Telework related activities, regional activists, European and national projects with activities related to telework, the national event coordinators form previous years, and other key actors, including suppliers working at the European level and relevant officials of national administrations.
The European Information Day in Brussels will be followed by regional or national information days in some other countries, details of which will be announced shortly.
The Information Day will focus on the rationale, planning and framework conditions for ETW 1997 (3 - 10 November). Reference will be made to activities and achievements of ETW95 and ETW96. A keynote speaker will be invited to address the perceived role of general awareness activities like European Telework Week.
Any organisation interested in developing or supporting events and activities during or leading up to ETW are particularly welcome, alongside representative organisations, European projects with a focus on telework and previous participants. However, there is a limit on the numbers who can be accommodated
