The Bangemann Challenge
The Lord Mayor of Stockholm has issued the following challenge:
"Any European city which by independent audit can show superiority over Stockholm by the end of 1996 in any aspect covered in chapters 2 and 4 in the Bangemann Report will be given free pavillion space at the 1997 Expo in Stockholm"
Mats Hulth, Lord Mayor of Stockholm will tell his story in Amsterdam on November 7 (during the conference "The Information Superhighway") with speakers such as European Commissioner MartinBangemann, van der Reyden, Feige, Curnow and Yavelow.
The Project Manager, Mr Per Jundin, will be speaking of this at the Rome event on November 10.
IT Bus Roadshow
Sebastian Cederschiold (Sweden) has given himself the task of -
"trying to open young people's eyes for the benefits of telework, hoping to do
this by communicating and demonstrating the benefits of telework".
One of his actions to this end has been to organise an 'IT-Busses' roadshow

Did You Know ...?
That of the 2.1 million office workers in Sweden about 500,000 are teleworking. These figures are from a survey carried out by international telecommunications service provider company Telia. They estimate that there will be one million teleworking Swedes in the year 2005, a number increasing currently at 15% each year.
