Welcome to my home page!*

My name is Maarten BOTTERMAN. Although I am Dutch, I live in Belgium, and work in Brussels. Pleased to meet you!

Currently I am working for the European Commission DG XIII - and more particular the Research and Technology Development Program ACTS, which stands for Advanced Communication Technologies and Services.

I am responsible for initiation and co-ordination of activities related to new ways of working: making better use of today's ICT technologies in organising work.

My background? I have always been working for the Dutch Ministry of Transport, Public Works and Water Management. First as Head of the Information and EDP Department of the North Sea Directorate, later as Senior Consultant for implementation of new ways of working throughout the Ministry. I have a degree in Business Economics, obtained at the Erasmus University in Rotterdam.
