We see that at least one European country, Denmark, is on a par with the USA. But there is a large cluster of countries in which telework has to date scarcely featured. If we saw this as a race, with “more telework” as the goal, we would say that Denmark leads and that some countries are doing very badly.
But this is not a race! In a moment we will see some additional data showing good reasons why telecommuting, the most well known form of telework, and well established and rapidly growing in the USA and in some European countries, is simply not relevant to some other European countries at all.
