The ETD Central Team
The following people comprise ETD's central team, responsible for overall
European and International aspects of the programme.
- Jeremy Millard,
Project Manager
- is directly responsible for project management aspects of the ETD national
coordinators' programme (NC tasks, timetable, budget, resources, reporting
etc) as well as being overall project manager of ETD, reporting to the
European Commission and responsible for project milestones, formal deliverables,
resources, budgets etc, all our subcontracts, and generally keeping us
all on track. [profile]
- Horace Mitchell,
Programme Director
- is responsible for strategy, direction and development of the ETD Initiative,
for how the Initiative is presented and delivered to our target audiences
and for relationships between the Initiative and other programmes and organisations.

- Michel Ickx

Activities Coordinators
- share the task of support and assistance to the individual ETD national
coordinators, each working with a particular group of NCs to help with
country status reports, plans, bids for money, getting help from the rest
of the project, cross fertilising ideas, solving problems etc.
- Nicole Turbé-Suetens
- In addition to her role as ETD national coordinator in France, Nicole is a member of the project management team with particular responsibilities for ETD's relationships with and cooperation with suppliers of products and
services relevant to telework, teletrade and telecooperation.
- Patrizio di Nicola
- In addition to his role as ETD national coordinator in Italy, Patrizio is a
member of the project management team with particular responsibilities for
developing ETD's understanding of and support to the development of
telework, teletrade and telecooperation in the Mediterranean region.
- David Skyrme,
Online and Media Relations Manager
- has management and reporting responsibility for our media and online
communications, including the web site services and other technology, public
media relations, network of contact points, literature etc. [profile] Within David's team:
- runs the European Telework Online web site and manages the ETO Site
Team, (see below) including the site's support to the European Telework
Development Initiative. [profile]
- Bjorn Johannson,
ETO Technology Services Manager
- keeps the ETO online facilities on the road, providing technical management
and support to the web site and is the ETD Initiative's day to day contact
point with our Technology Services Supplier, Loud-n-Clear.Com.
- Freddie Dawkins
and Sue Gibbard,
Media Contact Points
- edit ETD's press releases and media backgrounders and manage ETD's
response to information and other request from editors, publishers, journalists
and industry commentators
- Penny Bridgewater
and Wendy Sissins,
Online Media Team
- handle ETD's main media communications programme, with Penny responsible
for planning and targeting, Wendy managing the ETD aspects of the NEWSdesk
online services and physical distribution of our "paper" press
releases.
- Christian Van Asbroeck,
ACTS Telework Chain Coordinator
- is responsible for ETD's support to other projects within the ACTS
programme and provides administrative and secretariat support to the ACTS Telework Chain (Christian is also ETD's
national coordinator for Belgium)
- Ian Culpin,
European Telework Week Manager
- is orchestrating ETD's support to European Telework Week (ETW97).
ETD National Coordinators
For each country of the European Union (except Luxembourg which is supported
from Belgium), ETD activities are supported through a National Coordinator,
usually working in the context of a National Telework or Teleactivities
Association. In this list only the names are shown, there is also a page showing their 'phone and fax numbers
and a National Page for each country.

1. The European Commission
Our three main contacts at the European Commission are:
- John Nolan
- John is the Project Officer for ETD, and responsible for the formal
(contractual) relationship between the Commission and ETD as a project
within the ACTS programme, linking with Jeremy Millard, ETD Project Manager.
- Maarten Botterman
- Maarten is seconded to the Commission from the Netherlands Transport
Ministry and is DGXIII's telework specialist. Maarten provides a primary
Commission input to our focus and direction, especially in the Telework
aspects of the ETD Initiative. [profile]
2. The DIPLOMAT Project
(Telework Charter Initiative)
ETD worked with a "sister project", DIPLOMAT, now completed, which developed a
European Telework Charter, see their
own web pages for details of this. There is a page here at the ETO web site
outlining ETD and ETO support facilities provided for the DIPLOMAT initiative.
The relationship between the two initiatives was managed by:
- Josef Hochgerner
- Josef is the DIPLOMAT project manager, working with Jeremy Millard
to ensure appropriate coherence in the work of the two programmes.
- Noel Hodson
- Noel is the DIPLOMAT partner responsible for liaison with ETD, Horace
Mitchell is the person in ETD responsible managing ETD's support to DIPLOMAT.
- DIPLOMAT partners and national/regional contacts
- DIPLOMAT has its own teams of partners and national contacts (listed
at the
DIPLOMAT web pages).

European Telework Online
European Telework Online (ETO) is an online service for telework, teletrade
and telecooperation, working at European and International levels to deliver
online information and services on an open to all basis for suppliers and
users of the relevant technologies and methods and for policy makers and
advisers. ETO is a joint venture of Management Technology Associates and
Loud-n-Clear.Com, working with David Skyrme Associates and Carlyle Information
Services. ETO provides web site and related services for the ETD Initiative
and works closely with ETD to promote understanding and effective use of
online methods in telework, teletrade and telecooperation.

NEWSdesk is an online service
for editors, journalists and commentators, founded by Graeme Radcliffe,
and used as their online channel to the media by a large cross section of
