European Telework Development (ETD)
How to get involved with ETD.
ETD is an "open" programme and we welcome involvement
by anyone with an interest in telework, teletrade
and telecooperation, whether at European level,
in Member States, or outside the European Union.
The main ways to get involved are:
- To keep up to date with all ETD activities, join
the European Telework Online "information
only" list . You will receive short email messages drawing your
attention to ETD activities and initiatives and informing you of relevant
news and events. In particular, invitations to participate in new ETD activities
will be broadcast through this list.
- To join with other interested individuals in open discussion
of telework, teletrade and telecooperation opportunities, issues
and policies, join the European Telework Online
discussion list . You will be able to exchange information and views
with several hundred telework practitioners and other interested individuals
from over 30 countries world wide. The discussion is closely monitored by
the ETD management team and all suggestions are considered for follow up
by the Initiative.
- To participate more closely in Telework Developments at a
national or local level, contact the ETD coordinator in your country.
- To participate in Telework Development at European or International
level, contact the appropriate member of the ETD Management Team,
please see the page on "Who can get
involved and how will they benefit?"
Please note: when contacting either the national coordinator
or the European team please provide information that will help us to handle
your enquiry, ie who you are and what you do, the nature of your interest
in telework etc, and if you already have clear ideas, the kind of participation
you have in mind. General enquiries about ETD should please be addressed
to etd-info@eto.org.uk
We regret that ETD is not a "job finding" organisation,
much of the work undertaken at national and European level is voluntary
rather than paid. If you are looking for work we suggest you consult the
item at the European Telework Online site "Frequently Asked Questions":
How Can I Get Work As A Teleworker?.
Special Interest Groups
ETD is forming special interest groups at European level and in Member States. We will post details of these as they are announced.
In the meantime, if you complete the ETD Registration form, we will keep you informed of developments in your area of interest.
