To improve your results:
  • Write a phrase not just a word, for example "telework" will find hundreds of pages; "benefits of telework" will narrow the search; "benefits of telework for employers" will narrow it still further
  • A plus sign (+) before a word (eg "+telecommute") will find pages that must contain the word, but may miss pages that have the same concept (for example +telework might miss pages containing "telecommute")
  • A minus sign (-) excludes pages that contain the word, eg "-telework" would eliminate all pages containing the word "telework"
  • Boulean search is supported:
    • "telework AND jobs" looks only for documents that contain both words; note that this is equivalent to using the plus sign
    • "telework OR jobs" looks for documents with at least one of the words
    • "telework AND NOT jobs" looks for documents that include "telework"do not include the word "jobs"
    • Parentheses (brackets) can be used to build a search, for example "telework AND (jobs OR employment)" will find documents about telework that also include either "jobs" or "employment"
